Applied same day due to “real-time” posts; some “remote” are hybrid, check time-zone notes.

I keep a ‘real-time’ alert on EarthWorks; remote educator posts vanish fast; some require in-state residency. https://earthworks-jobs.com.

On https://www.usajobs.gov, I filter geology by ‘telework’; landed interviews, but some ‘remote’ require periodic site visits.

Listing my PG (CA) and 40‑hr HAZWOPER at the top of my resume finally moved the needle on ‘remote’ environmental geologist postings — lots of them filter for those even if you’re at home. For the educator demand you mentioned, I’ve found a few legit WFH courses on AGU’s board (https://careers.agu.org), but they can expire fast, so “apply promptly” is dead-on — . Anyone getting traction via Chronicle jobs for online teaching?

Quick tip: I’ve had the best luck on AGU’s Career Center by filtering for “telecommute” and adding GIS/hydro keywords; that got me two remote interviews last month: https://careers.agu.org. Caveat: a lot of these still expect periodic travel, so I ask for the site‑visit cadence and per‑diem up front — “remote” can be remote‑ish.
